Whilst undertaking aerial tree inspections for potential bat roosts in the Midlands, we found a breeding pair of Hobby. Breeding Hobby in the northeast are scarce so it is a pleasure to encounter them on our works further south. Hobby is a late breeder and time the fledging of their offspring to coincide with the peak in flying insects, fledged juvenile birds and swifts.
Hobby are listed as Schedule 1 species and FALCO Ecology are licensed to survey these magnificent species.
