Today Adrian assisted with the Northumberland Bat Group whilst they undertook one of their hibernation bat checks in the disused lead mines in the northeast.

It was an eventful day searching many crevices for hibernating bats but it was worth the effort with Natterer’s and Daubenton’s recorded. The warm weather recently has meant some tunnels have been vacated since February; however, other tunnels were still in use.
