We designed, built and installed a peregrine nest box which soon became home to the resident pair of peregrines. Three eggs were laid and all three chicks hatched; however around day 11 one of the chicks died. The remaining two chicks flourished and were ringed at around 21 days old. A British Trust for Ornithology metal numbered ring and a coloured identification ring was fitted to both chicks. They were both sexed as males and were measured and weighed. Both chicks fledged in late June and are still occasionally visiting the nest box.
